As a me
mber of Stream Team 509, honor and continue the work of the MSA citizen conservationists who dedicate themselves to conserving Missouri Ozark streams for future generations through water quality monitoring and stream clean ups.

In cooperation with the MDC, MO Smallmouth volunteers post angler educational signage at approximately 175 public stream access points across the Missouri Ozarks.

We are an Affiliate Member of the Conservation Federation of Missouri and collaborate with the Missouri Department of Conservation and other conservation-based groups statewide.  As Stream Team 509 we monitor water quality and participate in stream cleanups.

If you’ve ever visited an MDC, U.S. Forest Service or Missouri State Parks River Access, you've probably seen one of our educational signs.  We created, in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Conservation, these signs because we believe that by raising awareness about how long it takes, on average, for Missouri Smallmouth to grow and the importance of catch-and-release angling we can influence anglers we never meet.
